Typically
a week’s course is devoted to a mixture of sketching
and painting, combined with visits to the huge treasury
of frescoes and marbles in the Medieval and Byzantine
sites in the area.
After ten years living in the area, I have intimate
knowledge of the best sites for painting in the Mani
— tiny mountain villages, ancient mule tracks
winding through cypress trees and secluded olive groves
are among my favourites.
On one or two days we can make a trip further afield.
My intention is to give you an enjoyable painting
holiday, rather than a strenuous course of tuition.
In the past my groups have been very mixed in ability
and experience, with some artists preparing for exhibitions
while others have been complete beginners.
